This is the finest pump action shotgun we have ever seen, bar none. Does that sound like an overstatement? Look for yourself.

With classic looks that are a throwback to the look of traditonal tactical pumps, Mossberg's Retrograde models feature a walnut stock with checkered grip and vented recoil pad, and matching forend. Models also include the features that have made Mossberg the choice for millions of users worldwide, including an ambidextrous safety, dual extractors, positive steel-to-steel lockup, twin action bars, and an anti-jam elevator for smooth operation.

The Mossberg 590A1 is a weapon system of legendary reliability. Built to withstand the rigors of military use, where other manufacturers use plastic, this gun is metal, in the trigger guard and safety.

Years ago, operators of the 590A1 often found they could not even get a heat shield for the weapon because the only ones on the market were made for the 590, and with its extra heavy walled barrel, they simply could not fit over the 590A1's girth (hehe). That is not a problem for you here, with a factory spec and installed heat shield.

"Trench guns" demand a heat shield for the intensive close quarters use that the weapons are meant gun. The heat shield lets you manipulate the weapon even after sustained firing without burning your hand. If you want to turn the gun upside down and load it with fresh shells while the stock rests on your shoulder, this is a must.

High power loads, low power loads, bean bag rounds, bird shot, Law Enforcement grade 00 Buck shot with 9 Pellets, police issue rifled slugs, it doesn't matter, this gun will eat them all and ask for seconds.

This is a brutal MIL-SPEC shotgun which can hold 9 shells (8+1). Unload that as fast as the pump will cycle and that's about 30,000 foot pounds of energy going down a hallway towards your home invader- basically the amount of physical energy you would need to yeet a midsize car about 10 feet like the hulk. If that's not enough, fix bayonets and charge (yes, there is a bayonet lug). Basically, this is the gun you would choose to drop a dinosaur if you had to.

The ghost ring sights are simple and robust and the Parkerized receiver is already drilled and tapped if you need to make a change.
